From Orihuela to Caravaca: An adventure of hostels and rural accommodations

Hello, adventurers! Today we will explore the Camino de Levante towards Caravaca de la Cruz, discovering the hostels that make this route an unforgettable experience.

But beware, this path is not just any route; it is a trail full of stories, traditions, and stunning landscapes. Connecting the east with the southwest of Spain, the Camino de Levante has become a bridge between cultures, histories, and, above all, between people from all corners of the world.

And what would a pilgrim be without a cozy place to rest? The hostels on this path are not just places to sleep. They are spaces that, besides providing rest and comfort, offer opportunities to connect with other travelers and with oneself.

We start in Orihuela, at the Miguel Hernández University Residence, named after the street where the poet was born. The three-story building with free WiFi, in addition to sleeping and resting, provides the perfect experience to discover more about the local culture and history.

Stage 1: Orihuela - Murcia (24 kilometers)

In the center of Murcia, don't miss The Cathedral Hostel. Located on the emblematic Trapería Street, it is the perfect place for those who want to discover more of the Murcian capital and stay in a historic 20th-century building. It also offers incredible views of the cathedral.

Another good option is La Casa Verde Hostel, situated in the tranquility of the Murcia orchard but only 1.5 kilometers from the center. It is such a cozy place that you will feel at home but in the middle of nature.

Stage 2: Murcia - Alguazas (26 kilometers)

On this stage, you can't miss visiting Albergue El Rellano in Molina de Segura. Located in the Vicente Blanes natural park, it has a pool, animals, a play area, and a kitchen. They also offer various activities like climbing, zip-lining, rafting, and canyoning. It's a great option for more adventurous travelers.

Stage 3: Alguazas - Mula (26 kilometers)

Having reached Mula, the best surprise you can find is the Hospedería Rural Casas Nuevas. Located opposite the impressive walls of Sierra Espuña, it is a rural accommodation restored from the 1930s that offers apartments, double rooms, a viewpoint, and private lounges. Ideal for nature lovers and adventure sports enthusiasts, it provides services like hiking and cycling routes. Additionally, its proximity to historic towns like Mula, Pliego, and Caravaca allows you to explore the region.

Stage 4: Mula - Bullas (21 kilometers)

For wine lovers, Albergue de Bullas La Rafa is the perfect option. In Bullas, this tourist-recreational hostel near the Mula River offers various types of accommodation and facilities for the whole family. It's a place that invites you to enjoy tranquility and, of course, a good glass of local wine. An excellent choice!

Stage 5: Bullas - Caravaca (21 kilometers)

Finally, in Cehegín, the Estación de Cehegín Hostel awaits you with its rustic charm and direct access to the Vía Verde. It has a restaurant, garden, terrace, and rooms for the whole family. Additionally, it is a refurbished old railway station, making it the perfect place for nature and history lovers.
