When the heat hits Region of Murcia it’s time to enjoy the sea and immerse yourself in its waters. Snorkeling off the beaches of Murcia is a perfect and different kind of outing to escape from your daily routine.

If you want to spend the summer really diving into the Region of Murcia, we suggest these places for snorkelling. Are you ready to take the plunge?

 

Cabo de Palos (Cartagena)

In an idyllic enclave open to the sea and crowned by an emblematic lighthouse, this coastal Cartagena town boasts several beaches and coves perfect for diving and exploring its waters.

You'll fall in love with the crystal-clear waters of Cabo de Palos and its cliffs, which create small hidden coves where you can snorkel and take in the area's great biological diversity.

All the coves have wonderful sea floors, ranging from rock, to sand, to Neptune grass, making it a paradise for lovers of these places.

 

Cabo Cope (Águilas)

Águilas is the ideal place to fully enjoy the Mediterranean, practice water sports, and explore its waters. It features stunning sea beds that alternate with the exterior landscape, and snorkeling in any of its corners is one of the great options that this site has to to offer.

In addition, you can discover other areas of Águilas, such as Cabo Cope, a cape where you can snorkel in its transparent waters and discover the fauna inhabiting them.

 
Calblanque

Calblanque's nearly pristine beaches and coves make it a great spot for snorkeling. It is characterized by the great diversity of its spaces, and its contrasts, with its cliffs standing out, in addition to small, idyllic coves (Cala Arturo, Cala Magre and Cala de Los Dentones), and extensive beaches of golden sand, such as Playa Larga, Playa Parreño, Playa Negrete and Playa de Las Cañas.

Of course, during the high season the parking lot fills up fast, so be sure to get up early to enjoy this natural space.

 

Cabo Tiñoso

The natural area of Cabo Tiñoso is one of the best- preserved places in the Mediterranean. Beaches, cliffs and small coves make up this area of great scenic value.

Snorkeling is possible in the cove of Cala Cerrada, accessible by a 30-minute walk along a path. In addition to snorkeling in its waters, you can start your morning with a hike in the Sierra de la Muela to admire its beautiful landscapes.

 

Isla Plana

This small town, appealing for its great natural beauty, boasts crystalline waters, making it an ideal place for snorkelling. Access is easy, and its waters are shallow, making Isla Plana the perfect place for this activity with children.
